Happy and Blissful reunion dinner to all who are celebrating the eve of new Lunar Calendar.
Nian Ye Fan or reunion dinner is celebrated on the eve of New Year’s of the Lunar Calendar, where family members gather to celebrate. This event is considered the most important and auspicious get-together meal of the entire year.
Traditionally, the reunion dinner includes dumplings, meat and fish. However, there is a Chinese tradition that fish should not be finished during this eve and the remaining fish is stored overnight. The reason for this ritual is from a Chinese phrase “every year there is fish/leftover”) which mean “be blessed every year” or “have abundant profit every year”.
No matter, what religion, culture we belong, one thing is universal in all, prosperity and happiness is linked with family, with parents, with siblings with partner(s) and with children.
Be blessed and prosper…happy Chinese New Year …Happy Lunar New Year.
